Increasing Awareness Through the Distribution of "NINZIA BOSAI European Curry" and Beppu City Hazard Maps.

 

"NINZIA Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Kobe; CEO: Masahiro Yoritama), a texture-engineering startup creating new forms of food, conducted a disaster preparedness awareness and "NINZIA BOSAI" demonstration event for international students at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU, Beppu City, Oita) on December 1st, Disaster Prevention Equipment Inspection Day.

NINZIA maintains a multifaceted partnership with both Ritsumeikan University and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. This collaboration includes receiving investment from the Ritsumeikan Social Impact Fund (RSIF), conducting marketing interviews and sensory testing with international students, and actively involving student interns in business operations. This event marks another step forward in the company's commitment to leveraging academic synergy for social impact and global market readiness."

Event Highlights and Key Findings

During the event, NINZIA conducted a comprehensive survey on disaster preparedness. The results revealed a significant gap: while 100% of the students participated in mandatory dormitory evacuation drills, a notable number had no prior experience eating emergency rations and were unaware of local evacuation sites.

To bridge this gap, NINZIA provided a dual-approach solution to empower international students:

• Knowledge (Actionable Information): Distribution of the "Beppu City Hazard Map" to encourage specific evacuation planning.
• Experience (Delicious Preparedness): Distribution of "NINZIA BOSAI European Curry" to challenge the common perception that emergency food is unappealing.

【防災用品点検の日】立命館アジア太平洋大学（APU）にて「NINZIA BOSAI」のグローバルな防災イベントを開催

 

蒟蒻技術を使用した「NINZIA BOSAI 欧風カレー」と別府市ハザードマップの配布で防災意識を高める。多国籍な学生と共に「世界に通用する防災食」の可能性を実証。

 

あたらしい食のカタチをつくるテクスチャ・エンジニアリング・スタートアップ株式会社NINZIA（本社：神戸市中央区、代表取締役：寄玉昌宏（立命館大学OB））は、防災用品点検の日（12月1日）に、立命館アジア太平洋大学（APU、大分県別府市）にて、外国人留学生を対象とした防災啓発および「NINZIA BOSAI」の実証イベントを実施しました。

 

当社は、立命館ソーシャルインパクトファンド（RSIF）からの出資受け入れをはじめ、外国人留学生に対するマーケティングインタビュー・センサリーテスト、多くの学生インターンの参画など、立命館大学・立命館アジア太平洋大学の両大学と様々な連携を進めています。

 

イベント実施内容

会場では防災に関するアンケートを実施。避難訓練は100%参加（寮でしている)一方、防災食の食経験が無かったり、避難場所を知らない学生が一定程度いることを確認しました。

 

そこで参加者には、具体的な避難行動を促すための「別府市防災マップ」に加え、「備蓄食は美味しくない」というイメージを払拭する体験として「NINZIA BOSAI 欧風カレー」をプレゼントしました。「知識（マップ）」と「食（カレー）」の両面から、留学生の防災への第一歩を後押ししました。
